Over 250,000 foreigners live in Israel, report finds

A report based on demographic statistics from the Interior Ministry titled, “Non-Israelis in Israel: Foreigners, foreign workers, refugees, infiltrators, and asylum seekers 2010-2011″, says there are over 250,000 foreigners living in Israel. Included in this number are legal foreign workers (88,864), Palestinians with Israeli work permits (31,000), people on expired visas (95,000), as well as Africans who illegally entered Israel through the Sinai (45,000). The IDF believes the number of illegal African immigrants will increase as the boarder fence with Egypt nears completion.
